Version 2 of the CHAANZ Registry brings a host of new and time savings functions.


Enhanced User Interface and Accessibility

  • The registry can now be accessed by using a modern web browser, FileMaker Pro or an iPad. (RD Web / Terminal Services access is no longer available).
  • All screens have been redesigned with bigger fonts and screen area to take advantage of larger displays.
  • A new Object Visibility feature means only selective fields are displayed. Eg. You only see the extra Mortality fields if a Patient is deceased. This helps de-clutter screens.
  • Advanced and seldomly used functions are now hidden underneath popovers to help de-clutter the screens.
  • Easier and faster login process.


New Data Analysis and Charting Tools (TBC)

  • New reports to summarise results of demographic and diagnostics data
  • Users can now chart demographic and survival data any cohort of Patients
  • Any chart can be copied in high resolution for clearer scaling and for use with Powerpoint or other presentations.
  • Chart data can be copied to Excel so you can do your own analysis.

Data Entry Alert and Error Reporting

  • A new Record Errors tab shows entry errors for the entire Patient record including diagnostic data.
  • Automated reporting will send weekly emails to admin users to address entry errors. (see Snapshot Link feature)
  • New Data Range alerts now show or alert users if they have entered abnormal values for diagnostic tests.
  • New Admin functions allow faster reviewing of out of range entries or errors.

Data Sharing Options

  • Reports and Forms can be previewed, printed or saved as a PDF for emailing or filing. NB: You must click the ‘Continue‘ button when previewing reports to close out of the screen and continue with the Print or Saving options.
  • A new Snapshot Link feature allow users to share a list of records with other authorised users. 
  • Patient records can now be shared among other hospitals via referrals. See the Sharing a Patient Record help topic for more.


Miscellaneous New Features

  • A new ‘List Filters’ function located on the Patient listing will provide basic queries without having to use the dedicated find screen.
  • You can now Save a Lists or Search for later use using the new ‘SLS’ button on the Lists 
  • Patient Followup frequency reminders can now be set on a patient by patient level.
  • A more powerful Patient Search function.

Deprecated Features from Version 1

  • Remote Desktop / RD Web access which was used previously as an access method is no longer supported and has been replaced by the WebDirect access.
